Annexin V 是一種常用於流式細胞儀檢測早期細胞凋亡的蛋白質，可透過與凋亡細胞表面的磷脂醯絲胺酸 (Phosphatidylserine, PS) 結合來檢測。AAT 提供多種螢光標記的 Annexin V，可應用於搭配不同雷射及濾片的螢光機器檢測，如流式細胞儀及螢光顯微鏡。AAT 更開發獨有的 PS 探針 - Apopxin™ PS sensor，可使用螢光讀盤機的專一性的檢測早期的細胞凋亡。

Annexin V 也稱為 Annexin A5，是 Annexin 家族中的一種細胞蛋白，該家族是一類 Ca2+ 依賴性的陰性磷脂 (anionic phospholipid) 結合蛋白質，在細胞內的功能尚不清楚，但相關機製顯示其主要參與凝血過程。Annexin V 通常用於檢測早期的細胞凋亡，會與細胞膜上的磷脂 Phosphatidylserine (PS) 結合來辨識凋亡的細胞。

Phosphatidylserine (PS) 是一種位於細胞膜內膜的蛋白質，在凋亡過程開始的初期，會翻轉到細胞膜外膜。Annexin V 本身無色，通常會與其他螢光染劑或蛋白標定，如螢光團 (fluorophore)、藻膽蛋白 (phycobiliprotein，如 PE 或 APC)，用以檢測及定量細胞凋亡。而作為細胞凋亡初期的通用指標，PS 在細胞表面的出現，可在細胞形態發生變化前就被檢測到。

＜採用 AAT 特有的 Apopxin™ PS sensor，為一種螢光小分子，可專一性的與 PS 結合，
其親和力遠高於 Annexin V (Kd<10 nM)，與細胞膜上的 PS 結合後便會發出螢光；可應用於微孔盤讀盤機、顯微鏡及流式細胞儀等儀器；
而大多數市售的細胞凋亡檢測試劑組只可用於顯微鏡或流式細胞儀。＞
